SRS Assist
 

SRS Assist (+ 61 2 9323 5055) is available 24 hours a day, 365 days a year.   It should be called in the event of an emergency or when you require assistance such as:  

  • Emergency travel assistance
  • Medically assisted and supervised repatriation
  • Emergency medical evacuation
  • Legal assistance
  • Compassionate visit arrangements
  • Lost or stolen passport assistance
  • Guaranteed payment of approved medical services
  • Legal assistance
  • Interpreter access and referral
  • Tracing delayed or lost luggage

Country Assist
 
Country Assist is a pre-travel and in-travel service which provides the following:
 
  • Country specific travel reports including safety and security risks, political instability updates, health advisories and general travel information
  • Physical protective services
  • Proactive crisis response, emergency management planning and business continuity management
  • Security assessments, audits and reviews
  • Employee training on staff security, corporate terrorism, airport and aviation security and consulting & risk management
  • Expert on site and real-time consultant assistance during an incident

CLAIMS
 
What to do in the event of a claim
 
For claims that are not an emergency, please fill out the claims form at the bottom of this page and return to your insurance broker or to us here.
 
The following supporting document must be included with your completed claim from and failure to provide these documents may result in delays of processing your claim.
 
Medical and Dental Expenses and Hospital Claims
 
  • A copy of the treating Doctor’s and/or Hospital’s paid invoices and receipts
  • Details relating to medical benefit refunds
  • If applicable, Police or other Recognised Authority reports detailing events surrounding a claimable event 
Cancellation and Curtailment Charges, Additional Expenses and Loss of Deposits Claims
 
  • Original travel tickets or travel vouchers if a refund has not or cannot be obtained
  • Doctor’s and/or Hospital’s certificate identifying the precise nature of the condition suffered by an Insured Person or related individual
  • A letter from your issuing Travel Agent or Carrier which verifies the total cost of the journey, any cancellation charges incurred, any refund amounts received and the value of the unused portion of your journey
  • A copy of any medical certificates in respect of injury, illness or death associated with a claimable event under this policy 
Baggage, Business Property, Electronic Equipment and Money / Travel Documents Claims
 
  • A Police or Recognised Authority report declaring the theft or loss of belongings and any compensation received for such theft or loss
  • Confirmation of ownership of belongings being claimed including receipts, instruction manuals, bank or credit card statements, item valuations or guarantee certificates
  • ATM or transaction receipts, bank or credit card statements or any other documentation providing proof of cash being claimed
  • For lost or damaged baggage by an Airline or Carrier, a claim should first be lodged against them and then SRS for any residual amounts 
Rental Vehicle Excess Waiver Claims
 
  • A full copy of the rental agreement or contract entered in to
  • A receipt or paid invoice or similar documentation demonstrating payment of the excess
  • The vehicle repair invoice
  • A letter from the Rental Company demonstrating the repair cost as a result of damage or theft of the vehicle 
Accidental Death Claims
 
  • A copy of the original death certificate
  • A copy of the Policy report where applicable
  • A copy of the Coroner’s report including their findings where applicable 
Personal Liability Claims
 
  • A copy of letters or demands of a claim being made
  • Responses to letters or demands of a claim being made where applicable 
In all circumstances of a claim we require a copy of the travel itinerary and/or travel tickets and any other relevant documentation confirming such travel has or was to take place. We may also appoint a loss adjuster or investigator at our discretion and cost to compile further information for certain claims.
